What an exciting milestone for the University of Nevada, Reno! The University Arts Building project team celebrated a topping out ceremony. A topping out is held for the placement of the last piece of steel on a project – symbolizing the moment when the project takes the shape of its ultimate design. Members of the team, including planners, designers, University officials, and builders, signed their names on a steel piece before it was silently lifted, adorned with a flag and a pine tree for good luck. The new building will enhance the quality of music and art programs with new spaces that will inspire creativity and artistic excellence. We can’t wait for the opening later this Fall!
