EXPERIENCED CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS, Q&D’s people understand that building is complex, with a large volume of very small details that require just as much attention and follow-through as the big details.

At Q&D that follow-through is built on a foundation of energy and enthusiasm for the work we do, for the client’s goals and for a successful project for all team members.

Who We Are

Q&D’s people lead by putting their best into every aspect of your project every day. Leadership means collaborating with others and working together to meet the goal. Meet the people that inspire our culture of client service.

Q&D Leaders

Q&D’s executive team is made up of proven leaders, innovators and forward-thinking managers who understand client commitment and the power of the collaborative approach. Lance Semenko, President, leads Q&D’s daily operations under the leadership of the board of directors, with the support of division vice presidents who are at the top of their respective construction management fields.

Norm Dianda is still a big part of Q&D and while he spends less time in the office these days, he is often at headquarters catching up with employees, friends and clients, managing philanthropic projects and mentoring young managers.

Q&D Values

Service goes beyond doing a good job – it means doing a great job, with empathy and compassion for what the client needs to accomplish.

Q&D maintains a reputation as a community and industry leader through integrity. In all aspects of our business, in every department and at every level, we are ethical, friendly and trustworthy.

The way to leave a legacy of satisfied clients is to follow-through and build the best structure possible– from the soil excavation all the way to the parapet cap.

Numerous things have changed since Norm Dianda inked Q&D’s first building contract for a kitchen remodel in 1964. Back then, the “contract” actually consisted of a few napkin sketches and a handshake over a pasta dinner.

Although the truck Norm borrowed from his dad and the original home office in his garage are gone, the foundation of Q&D remains the same today. Our values are service, integrity and quality.

In Your Words

  • From day one, the people working on the Virginia Street Bridge project have brought so much positive energy to the area. They have been very innovative, passionate and committed to meeting the schedules without compromising quality. As the completion is near, several times a day I hear so many kind words about ‘the builders’ from business owners to residents to people working in City Hall to people on the streets about what an ‘amazing project this is.’ I am very grateful to be part of such a hard-working and dedicated team!

    - Kerrie Koski, P.E., Street Program Manager, City of Reno

  • Q&D Construction handled the Gateway program with a high degree of expertise and precision. The project met all the objectives of the client and design team, I am very pleased with the collaborative process the entire team followed to achieve that.

    - Sean Bogart, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C, Gresham Smith & Partners

  • Your crew put their heart and soul into the project and made so many good decisions on our behalf that they are hard to enumerate.

    Foundation Chairman Bill Wallace
  • The store is beautiful and is extremely well built. From the day we began planning this project to opening day, the Q&D team proved to be knowledgeable, professional and very conscious of our needs and procedures.

Jason Loney, Scheels, VP Store Development
  • Thank you for your commitment to excellence and for embracing the CMAR delivery method. We faced tremendous challenges...Through cooperation, trust, good faith and communication, the Q&D team clearly demonstrated its ability to overcome obstacles and jointly solve problems.
