We love to help our community! On behalf of our employee giving program, this past week we presented Meals on Wheels and Austin’s House each with a $1,000 donation. Q&D also presented Canine Rehabilitation Center & Sanctuary (CRCS) with a $1,000 donation earlier this year. All of the money was raised and donated by Q&D employees throughout the year at our charity lunch events. Meals on Wheels provides meals to home-bound seniors who are at high nutritional risk. Eligible clients receive up to seven home delivered meals per week. Their mission is to improve the health and quality of life of the seniors they serve so that no one is left hungry or isolated. Austin’s House operates an emergency shelter facility for children up to age 18. Children arrive due to abuse, neglect, abandonment, or other forms of maltreatment when a family relative or licensed foster care family is not available. The primary focus of CRCS is the rescue, recovery, and placement of at-risk dogs in our community. They do not discriminate against age, breed, or medical condition and they provide refuge and a second chance for dogs desperately needing a new start. We thank these organizations for their dedication to serving our community!
