ENR recognizes Q&D Construction

ENR recognizes Q&D Construction
When Engineering News-Record (ENR) released results in early August from its California/Nevada Regional Best Projects Competition, Q&D Construction once again earned a little time in the spotlight. The long-time Reno contractor won the Best Highway/Bridge category for its submission of the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) 3935 Fernley Bridges project. A major milestone was the use of Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) on the bridge structure—the first time UHPC was used in a completed project in Nevada. The honor means Q&D has won the category in back-to-back years and has seen a project awarded for three straight years.
Additionally, the Reno engineering firm of Kimley-Horn was given an Award of Merit in the Airport/Transit category for its work revamping the Terminal Loop Road at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Q&D executed the Kimley-Horn designs as the project’s General Contractor, making us proud to be a key piece of that award-winning submission as well.
