Brett is a Project Director and an owner at Q&D. He started in construction working over the summers for a local home builder where he grew up in northern California. Brett enjoys building in general, and, that at the end of the day, you can see progress and/or completion.

Brett attended and graduated from the University of Nevada with a BS in Civil Engineering.

Brett embraces the challenge of each project, enjoys building aggressive schedules, and driving the project schedule. “I am a big believer in the momentum of a project and getting it started so that it can come in ahead of schedule. I like to take an innovative approach to each project and see if we can build it quicker and faster,” he says.

Q&D’s work at the Tesla Gigafactory was one of Brett’s first projects and most rewarding. The project started out as a small pipe project and grew into 3.5 years of continuous work where Q&D performed site concrete, grading, paving, structural concrete and building concrete. His favorite bridge project was the Parr Bridge Replacement for NDOT, where Q&D came up with a plan to slide the girders in individually to deal with the high energy overhead power line.

Brett believes Q&D is well diversified and not afraid to take on any project. “I see Q&D continuing to grow and always taking an innovative approach to whatever project comes our way. Being that Q&D has always been an innovative approach contractor, this is where I will help continue Q&D’s growth.”

Brett and his wife, Ginny, enjoy going to all of their kids sporting events. When they aren’t doing that, they enjoy going to the Lake and attending UNR sporting events, NFL games, MLB games and other sporting events. Additionally, fall hunting and fishing with his dad is always a highlight for Brett.
