The project developed 14 bus stops for the Washoe County Regional Transportation Commission’s (RTC’s) RAPID system. The RAPID system is designed to expedite bus transportation through the Virginia Street corridor by providing level-boarding systems, off-board ticketing and fare collection, enhanced displays, RTC branding/signage and traffic signal-communication. The new RAPID Stations include ticketing kiosks, illuminated signage, bright night lighting, architectural flair and permanent art installations by local artisans.
