Lindell’s Painting

A steel-framed building with pre-manufactured insulated metal panels responded closely to the goals of Lindell’s Painting Service. This approach could be built within their budget, featured outstanding insulation, would be easy to maintain and would feature the shortest construction time – less than 6 months. However, the architectural design guidelines of the developer did not allow for “metal buildings.” To better meet the design requirements of a business park , the team used a horizontal installation of smooth metal panels featuring a three-paint color scheme emphasizing the horizontal design. Because the buildings do not appear to be metal, the developer approved the design. With the manufacturer’s cooperation, the team met all of their objectives.

SYSTEM HIGHLIGHTS
This award-winning design-build project featured a 3,952 sf office and a 5,760 sf shop using pre-engineered metal clad insulated horizontal panels.

FINISH HIGHLIGHTS
When the budget for Lindell’s Painting Service didn’t allow for a showroom, owners Jerry and Sherri Key chose to install a wide variety of paint and wall covering throughout the facility to illustrate what would normally be in a showroom. Staff member selected paint and wall coverings they admired, resulting in a variety of finishes. In the hallways, Sherri selected a Scuffmaster application with three tones of green with the darkest color as the base. She innovated by selecting a reverse of the same greens with the lightest color as base and separated the finishes with a chair rail.
