Helm Pipeline

To build this 8 miles of 6-inch steel natural gas pipeline construction, crews routed the pipeline under two existing water conveyance systems, two Caltrans highway crossings and one water pipeline crossing – all using directional borings. Most of the work was constructed beside existing roadways – CA Highway 145, local dirt roads, and paved county roads. Access and easement were severely limited in most of the right-of-way. This project included the construction of a gas separation plant for which Q&D self-performed all concrete, piping, fabrication and equipment installation.
