60 Years of Q&D Construction

Since Norm Dianda inked Q&D’s first ever building contract in 1964–sketched on napkins and sealed with a handshake over a pasta dinner–the company has seen remarkable growth. While the borrowed truck and the original home office in Norm’s garage may now be distant memories, the foundational values that drive Q&D– providing quality service, maintaining integrity, and unwavering commitment to delivering quality work–remain at the heart of everything we do. As client needs have evolved, so too has Q&D, constantly adapting to meet the demands of our community while also never losing sight of those valuable principles that guide us. By 2017, Q&D was able to launch the Heavy/Civil Group, Aviation Group, Energy Group, and the Specialty Services department in order to provide a broader range of services and secure Q&D’s position for continued success and growth. As Q&D celebrates its 60th anniversary, the company proudly reflects on a legacy built alongside its community–crafting not just infrastructure but also the future of Northern Nevada. With a deep commitment to continuing on this journey, we stand ready and willing to serve our community for many years to come.

Since its founding in 1964, Q&D has been committed to supporting the Northern Nevada community, building essential infrastructure, institutions, and venues that make this region a vibrant place to work, live and play.
