Q&D enabled the hotel-casino to do business as usual while excavating an old structure out of the middle of the building. We then replaced the structure and upgraded finishes. In creating Harrah’s new high limit gaming area, Q&D removed a 45-year-old frame structure completely surrounded by Class A construction and excavated down 12 feet while the roof structure remained in place. We installed a new slab on grade, and a new elevated deck to support the old roof structure. In the American River Cafe, Q&D built a 180-seat restaurant with a river running through it. Q&D has worked for Harrah’s gaming properties continuously since 1966.
FINISH HIGHLIGHTS
To create the award-winning interior of the High Stakes Area and the Cafe, Q&D’s in-house millwork shop developed various mock-ups and composites for review by Harrah’s executives. Our estimating staff developed numerous pricing alternatives for different systems, methods and materials on both projects.
