Q&D History

Numerous things have changed since Norm Dianda inked Q&D’s first building contract for a kitchen remodel in 1964. Back then, the “contract” actually consisted of a few napkin sketches and a handshake over a pasta dinner.

Although the truck Norm borrowed from his dad and the original home office in his garage are gone, the foundation of Q&D remains the same today. Our values are service, integrity and quality.

Q&D’s executive team is made up of proven leaders, innovators and forward-thinking managers who understand client commitment and the power of the collaborative approach. Lance Semenko, COO, leads Q&D’s daily operations under the leadership of the board of directors, with the support of division vice presidents who are at the top of their respective construction management fields.

Norm Dianda is still a big part of Q&D and while he spends less time in the office these days, he is often at headquarters catching up with employees, friends and clients, statusing projects, reviewing safety in the field, managing philanthropic projects and mentoring young managers.
